MY processes and a man named ... Zinsser

As for my writing process I believe that i have managed to make a steady progression, although my first draft seems to have had lack of any data what so ever, i believe that with the knowledge presented tome by the text i have read gives me some sort of information and i continue to write my paper, building my ideas, adding onto my thoughts. I have been and will continue to write in ernest what i have been so far, i will critisize and understand the current teaching method of the elementary teachers, but i believe that a time for change would be in the interest of anyone and i will write as to why.
My reasearch will rotate around the axis of what the effect of music has upon each person, and i will offer the ideals in which i present and back them with the axis, and i will also observe what todays current teaching is.
After reading this paper, i have seen a new point of view, less is more he says, it makes so much more he says; although my problem is that if i were to follow this approach instead of my usual i believe that all those years of improving my diction in the hopes of making my matter speech more eloquent would be a waste. I believe that if we restricted our speech to the standards written in ths paper would not be benificial but instead make writing a a tad more difficult. I personaly was always told that i am not making the way i talk better, but making the manner in which i speak more eloquent.

Reading The Times... Beliefs and such

The thought that we have gained our own reasoning for the sake of only being right, i can not agree with this. I am not being stubborn, it is an interesting notion, i just think that we developed our reasoning due to the accumulation of knowledge of the race over the years. I don't think reasoning is to help us find better beliefs, better descisions yes but beliefs, no.
I think reasoning could have started back to survival, we learned to make desicions as well as think of ways to get food and water. At the start of our race, we were "Man the hunted" and I see the early people as first using their thoughts on survival, thinking of new tools to help us survive.
This thought of being arguementive, that wouldn't change righting at all, people write as such all the time. Myself personally I write what I see as right and wrong, I am the one who interperates it all, the problems and questions are let in the air (in this case the paper) I have to use my reasoning to first interperate and then cmmunicate what would appear right to me.
To relate myself, to the thought of this article, I can say that yes I did argue only to be right, as well as tell a lie, I find this entire article interesting, it is a different notion that we may hold true, as children, but as we mature we use are reasoning for the first belief

Shitty Drafts ... AND Replying to them!? OH MY!

Just looking at the header I can tell you right away that this paper is meant to be informal. I read the paper and the auther is telling us that it is okay to have a crappy first draft and to me that is what I need to hear at times, because I  am always thinking that I will be graded on small things, but in the end i finish the paper and then re read it and i find things that absolutely need to be corrected. Lammott tells us from her own experiences and people she knows that everyone (Almost everyone) does first drafts that are shitty, which could help students like me realize that it is okay to have bad drafts because even the better writers do the same thing.
Looking at the second paper, I can say that this writer is not using profanity because he wants to give the student something that will give them information, the first paper seem to have used profanity to help us relax and maybe without relizing it get us thinking soething along the lines of "Hey they cursed, maybe it would be okay if we did that as long as the ideas get put down." The second paper is trying to get to students looking at papers written like the first, trying to tell us how we could go at helping write the second more improved draft
Overall reading these papers I have gotten a better idea on how to help other students with their papers also The first paper helped me out cause I am always nervous about my first draft and i feel a bit better now.

ADS!!! .... and rhetorical... things

The idea of intangible value, I hear this as “How can we make these commercials more valuable without spending much more”

His idea of using models to help improve the train ride is adding value, well the mention would make me ride a train as well as many other men and that will make the company more money just off the tickets, and as he said instead your making money just buying the employment of models.

There are plenty of people who want the train ride to go faster, boredom? Late for something business related?

Although from personal experience from planes or the rare ten hour car drive I want the ride to go faster out of boredom, although if I had the said model that was mentioned for the train serving me food then yes maybe I would be perfectly content with the ride and willing to pay for the trip and wait for the end and so yes I believe intangible value can be there.

To think that ads can have an influence on someone’s buying decision is completely reasonable and makes sense; it wouldn’t be just once I heard (or said myself) “That commercial says it’s okay (Good, Preferred, Recommended etc.) There are people who don’t know if their shampoo is good, their toothpaste, cars all of these people will debate about but if someone sees that the person in the commercial is good looking and has great hair they want that, if they see a car speeding through a beautiful route as they talk about the handling they compare with the peaceful view than they want that peace and easy ride so that may push them towards a decision.

I wouldn’t say that I learned more from this video because I learned the power of ads through my philosophy classes or just the basic theme of commercials, although I did very much enjoy this video.

The Three appeals Blog Assignment 1

Aristotle'sThree Appeals
Logos- Using logic to to persuade
Pathos- Using an emotional appeal
Ethos- The credibility of the speaker or writer

These Appeals, Today

There are weightloss companys give numbers, saying which person weighed how much and what amount of weight they lost and when. These numbers appeal to our logic, statistics can be enough to persuade someone looking for results, that is logos.
Charity organizations have commercials everywere, they use their ads on television to attack you. It happens to anyone who sits around watching television, you hear sad music and see pictures of children and told that they are indeed orphens. These ads usually have a speaker who tells you that for only a little bit of money you can give these children this and that. These commercials can make anyone feel guilty (or annoyed depending on the television show you are whatching, that is pathos.
Tootpaste or toothbrush ads appear with credentials from dentist at times, orthodontist approved or dentist preffered, and what people think when they see or hear that is if the professionals who take care of are teeth thinks it is better than it should be, that is ethos.

Syllogism-
  A logical argument
EX: He used syllogism on his case and has the most pull because his reasoning is the most convincing.

These appeals are so common and intigrated into todays society that they have become simple use and yet most people that use it may not know the name of it and the people that it is being used on have seen it all over and over again in different commercials and yet all of it is still useful and effective because it maybe simple to learn and use but they are still there and they still work.
